Ashley was inspired to become an esthetician ever since she learned to take care of her own skin as someone who suffers with adult acne. She graduated from University of Esthetics in 2015, where she took great interest in product ingredient knowledge. Ashley also has certifications specializing in chemical exfoliation and several skincare brands to treat various skin types.

She takes a thorough approach with her clients and pays great attention to the small details in order to achieve the best results. Some of her favorite services include dermaplaning, microdermabrasion and relaxing massage because of the immediate results you can see & feel from each service.

She's a Chicago native from the south side of the city. When she's not working, she enjoys going to the movies, new restaurants, shopping, and spends time with family and her calico cat Mallory.

 

Cindy’s approach to esthetics prioritizes education and a deep comprehension of each individual's distinct goals. What sets Cindy apart is her vibrant personality and her ability to connect with anyone. She graduated from Aveda Institute Chicago and has certifications in classic and volume lash extensions, microblading and microshading. Cindy particularly enjoys all waxing services because she loves seeing her clients happy with their silky-smooth and confident results.

In her free time, you can find her indoor roller skating, hanging out with her dog and cat (Mozzarella and Pepper Jack), and embarking on exciting travel adventures. Paris holds a special place in her heart as her ultimate vacation spot because of the beautiful culture, language, and wine! Her favorite local spot in Andersonville is Taste of Lebanon and she likes listening to all types of music, including Afrobeats and jazz.
 

 

Emily has a lifelong connection to skin care. As a young woman dealing with acne, she learned at an early age the importance of a good skincare routine.

 

Emily attended the Aveda Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio to turn her passion into a career. She went on to work in high-end day spas, small operations, and medical offices. Along the way, she has taken bits of knowledge from each, giving her a unique perspective to give clients the best service possible.

 

Throughout the years, she has frequently discussed opening up her own space with clients, family, and friends. Feeling a hole in Andersonville for a boutique giving clients extra attention and one-on-one care and advice, Emily decided to take the big step to open SkinQ.

Felicia has always had a passion for all things beauty. In high school, she began providing skin and makeup services to her friends.

 

It wasn't until age 20 when she began struggling with her own skin issues. This ignited her quest to learn how to heal her skin, as well as how to help others with their skin concerns.

 

In 2004, she graduated at the top of her Esthetics class at the prestigious Pivot Point Beauty Academy.

 

With over 19 years of experience, she is a master Esthetician with certifications in facials, waxing, dermal peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, lasers, and skin tightening treatments.

 

Her approach in treating the skin is precise and meticulous. She really takes the time to make her clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe in her caring hands.

Hank Voelker was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio. He is an entrepreneur, starting his first business, Voelker Paint Company, in 1974, and in 1990, opened the second branch of his company called Innovative Interiors. Both companies provide high quality paint and window treatment services to homes and businesses.

​

Hank has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and was so excited when Emily and Zac decided to start their own business. He wanted to help out however he could, so when SkinQ Andersonville was opening, Hank packed the car with his tools and headed to Chicago. Since then, he has played a big role in helping with the buildout of all of the SkinQ locations, and he officially joined the team in June of 2022.

​

In his spare time he enjoys working in the yard, playing tennis, spending time in Florida, fishing, and catching as many Cubs games as possible. “Go Cubs!”
 

 

Isabelle helps us keep up with what’s trending in today’s day and age. She has an eye for design and works with our team to further our social media presence. Isabelle not only manages our social media accounts, but also handles day-to-day communication with clients.

When she’s not working, she’s either coaching volleyball, exploring Chicago, or scrolling through TikTok.

She lives in Old Town and has a mini goldendoodle named Sheffield.

 

Jessica has been an esthetician since 2004 with a strong background in waxing, specializing in the perfect full and natural looking eyebrow.

​

She has a passion for skincare, keeping herself educated so that she can craft the best regimen for each individual skin type. She always keeps the comfort of her clients in mind, so that even nervous, first time clients feel relaxed and at ease, whether they're getting a facial, a lash lift, or even a brazilian wax. 

​

She lives in Rogers Park with her husband and two cats. When not at work or home, you can find her trying new restaurants, attending local performances ranging from circus to music to storytelling, and going out dancing if she can stay up late enough.

 

Driven by her love for science and helping others, Kim decided to take on a career that would perfectly balance the two. She graduated from Estelle Institute in Skokie and has over 5 years of working experience.

She prides herself on her ability to make clients feel welcomed and heard. Her approach to esthetics is one that understands the client as a whole and is results-driven. She takes the time to learn about her clients’  lifestyles and habits in order to create an effective, individualized treatment plan. Kim is also laser certified, PCA Skin certified, and trained in brow lamination. She loves anything to do with brows and will help you shape them to perfection. She also loves to do dermaplaning.

She’s a Chicago native from Albany Park and is very close to her family (mom and 2 younger sisters). She also recently adopted a cat named Fresa (Strawberry in Spanish). Kim’s favorite way to recharge after a long day is spending time with family and having a late night snack together. When she’s not working, you can find her exploring new restaurants, reading, going to music festivals, and taking a stroll through the city. When it was still open, her favorite local spot in Andersonville was Hamburger Mary’s.

 

Luvly's passion for esthetics was ignited by her grandmother, a massage therapist, who opened her eyes to the beauty and importance of self-care. A graduate of Douglas J Aveda, Luvly has accumulated 5 years of professional experience, earning a reputation for her attention to detail and love for educating clients. With a warm and bubbly personality, her primary goal is to create an uplifting environment where clients feel valued and understood. Luvly has certifications in SkinPen and HydraFacial, complemented by laser training. Her expertise lies in chemical peels, a service she particularly enjoys because of their transformative results.

 

Outside of work, Luvly enjoys spending time with her dogs, Beauty and Bella, taking leisurely walks along the beach. She has a diverse taste in music, ranging from Beyoncé to Nightmares on Wax and afrobeats. Vegas tops her list of favorite vacation spot because of the vibrant nightlife and beatiful lights. When it's time to unwind, Luvly indulges in a relaxing steam shower with aromatherapy and her favorite Ben & Jerry's ice cream!

 

Maddie Rose embarked on a career in the skincare industry with a goal to empower others to look and feel their best. She graduated from Tricoci University and has accumulated 5 years of professional experience since. She has a keen interest in the chemistry of skincare and incorporates it into her approach to esthetics.

​

Maddie Rose likes to build relationships with her clients to create a more personable experience and better understand their lifestyles, what they're looking for, and their individual needs. She prides herself on being relatable and also having the ability to make her clients laugh (if that’s what they need!). She also strives to ensure that every client leaves their appointment with newfound insight of their skin. Her favorite service to perform is facials, but she also has extensive training in waxing. She specifically likes doing Brazilian waxes because she enjoys helping others with post-wax maintenance and care.

​

Outside of work, you can find her practicing yoga, hanging with her cat Bean, watching her favorite comfort show Grey’s Anatomy, or reading something chemistry-related.

​

Olivia’s passion for skincare was ignited by her personal struggles with acne as a teen. After witnessing the impact esthetics has on people’s happiness and confidence, she decided to pursue her career at Universal Training Spa Academy in Downers Grove. Olivia graduated in 2016 and has accumulated over 5 years of professional experience.

​

Olivia takes a results-oriented approach to skincare and prides herself on her ability to connect with people. She prioritizes fostering a safe space for clients to share their skin concerns and experiences. She loves learning about products, coming up with new treatment plans, and being able to educate clients about their skin. Her favorite treatments are dermaplaning and chemical peels are her specialty!

​

Outside of work, Olivia treasures time with her close-knit family, including her two brothers and cat, Vinny. In her free time, she enjoys creative pursuits like painting, or trying out new restaurants.  Her favorite local spot is La Pharmacie! She also has a lot of movie nights in, with some of her favorites being Green Book and Everything Everywhere All at Once. Her favorite vacation spot is Bend, Oregon and she’s currently listening to The Last Shadow Puppets.

 

Zac is a true entrepreneur at heart. He loves to take on new challenges and ventures, and that's what led him to create SkinQ with Emily in 2019.

​

He has worked in accounting and finance in many different industries - including hospitality, wholesale, e-commerce, professional services, and more. He's passionate about small business and provides financial consulting services to business owners looking to increase profitability and streamline their financial processes.

​

When he's not sitting at his computer doing money-stuff, you might find him taking advantage of all of the amazing restaurants that Chicago has to offer or binge watching SNL videos on YouTube.
